A Word From The President |

Spring is here. Soon it will be time to get the Corvairs cleaned up and out to a show or cruise- in. The local shows start the first of May, with the May 2nd show at Rhinebeck. Rhinebeck has two Corvair classes, with 3 awards for early and 3 for late models. A couple of weeks after that is the car show at the Saratoga Auto Museum, and that is where we will have our May meeting (that’s Sunday May 16th). As long as I am talking about meetings, I want to thank Steve and Sherri Ruggles for putting together a great time for the combined March and April meeting. The model railroad at RPI was very interesting and dinner at Fresno’s was great. Steve and Sherri, thanks, from all of us for taking the time to set up such a good get-together. Back to the Corvairs. Remember when you get your cars out to give your brakes a good push. Start by pushing the pedal vary hard and then push it even harder. Remember its better if your breaks fail in your yard when the car is stopped then when you are going down the road at 60. I check my brakes this way before every drive. Here are some dates to remember:
