That is the way our headline should read this month. With the CDCC Summer Picnic at Thatcher Park last month, the park was invaded with six shining, and proud Corvairs (all convertibles). It was a sight to see, all those Corvairs in one place at one time, I’ll bet that most Corvairs in that park since the last time we had our picnic there. For all who couldn’t make it to the picnic this year, I want to let you know that you missed a good time, with lots of food, perfect weather and great company. I was happy to see all who came and want to thank all of you for making my day in the park great. The only thing that could have made it better, would have been if all our members could have been there together. This month we will try something new. We will have our own Bob Addis take us on a tour, with a stop at a personal memorabilia collection. Bob always puts together a great tour, and I’m sure this one won’t disappoint. The tour will be on Sunday, August, 21st. Look for more details elsewhere in this newsletter. I hope we can get a large group of Corvairs out for our tour. But if you can’t take a Corvair, don’t let that stop you from coming. This will be a fun day and the more the merrier, so get out the Corvair or, if can’t get the Corvair out, fire up your boiler and lets go touring with Bob Addis.
Well that will about do it from here. So until next time remember, KEEP THE SHINY SIDE UP.
Some dates to remember.
