A Word From The President

This is it! The last time I have to write" A Word From The President" for "The Capital Vair News", at least for this year. Whether or not I ever get a chance again is up to you, the members. As you all know, with the December meeting and Christmas party comes election of club officers. This year, as every year, the positions of President, Vice--President; Treasurer, Secretary, and Editor, are up for election. Again this year, as every year, I am asking all our members to help out by seeking one of these offices. I feel it would be good for our club to have some new ideas, and new faces in charge. So please think it over, and maybe 'you will find it in your heart to help our club move forward.

Now for the Christmas party. The Christmas party and December meeting will be held at the Dalrymple's home again this year. I would hope all of you would be there but I realize that you can't all make it. The party this year will be held on Sunday, December 5th. The party will feature a pot-luck dinner and a couple of grab-bags, one for men and one for women. If you are planning to attend please contact Arlene Dalrymple (518 584-5223) and tell her what you will be bringing for the pot-luck. Arlene is not only the hostess but will be coordinating the pot-luck (thanks Arlene).

To all our members of the Capital District Corvair Club, who are not members of CORSA, the following offer has been made to us/you by CORSA. As part of the new chapter plan, CORSA has offered $10 off a new one year membership, or $15 off a 26 month membership. This is a very good deal and a good time to try a CORSA membership.

Now I would like to thank all the officers and all the members who helped to make this a good year. Any time we thought there was nothing new to do, a member would come up with something and we would get the monthly meeting/get-together back on track. I will have a pad at the Christmas party, and anyone who has a plan or would like to put something together for a meeting next year, can sign up.

Well, I guess that is about it. I would like to wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

SEE YOU AT THE PARTY!

Harold
