This is it the last newsletter of the year. That is not to say that we are done for the year. After all this month is the Capital District Corvair Club’s Christmas Party. Again this year the Christmas Party will be held at the Rexford Fire Department. And again this year I want to thank Dick and Kris Tullock for getting us the use of the hall and also for hosting the party. For anyone who hasn’t been to one of our Christmas Parties, it works like this. First we have a great pot-luck dinner, followed by a grab-bag, and then election of officers. If you haven’t already, call Kris, 399-0666, let her know you are coming, and let her know what you will be bringing for the pot-luck. For the grab-bag, women should bring a gift for a woman, marked woman, and men should bring a man’s gift marked man. Let’s keep the gifts small, $10 or less. Now it’s time to talk about the election of officers. Before I go any farther I have to thank all the officers that served this year. We had a good year with only a few glitches. This has been my last year as President. It is time for me to step down and someone else to step up and take us in a new direction. Looking back at this year, I can’t help but think about having the CORSA convention here in New York State. I also have fond memories of our trip to Norwich in the spring, thanks Steve and Sherri. The Friday night in June at PJ’s, and who could forget the great cruise around Lake George led by Walt and Jean Newell. Now I hope you all will forget the summer picnic that kept getting rained out, I had no luck at all with that one (hope to do better next year). Well that’s all from my little corner of the world. Remember to “KEEP THE SHINY SIDE UP” and I will see you at the Christmas Party.. PS Don’t forget the Christmas Party, December 10th at about noon. We expect to eat about 2. So wrap your gifts and give Kris a call. |
