Here we go again, the first newsletter of the year. We still have the same old president and I seem to be running out of things to talk about. I do want to rave about the great Christmas Party we had. Everyone went above and beyond, the food was fabulous, the decorations were glorious and the company way down right delightful. The party was so much fun that I was sad when it ended. I have to say the only disappointing part was no one would step up and take any of the officer’s positions, so it looks as if all the officer’s from last year are still here. I guess that’s enough from last year, it’s now time to look forward to this year. With the new year here we all need to try and find things to do for our meetings and gatherings this year. We will start with the February meeting at Fresno’s in Troy. The meeting will be held on Sunday, February, 19th at 2 PM. Part of the agenda will be where we will be going and what we will be doing this year. Steve Ruggles and Bob Addis have been working on a tour that would take in a Corvette museum in Vermont. Maybe in May, I know that Bob Addis will put together a nice scenic trip for the day. Speaking of Bob, he is home recuperating from his second and hopefully last surgery. Bob get well quick, were all pulling for you. The CORSA convention will be held in Buffalo in July this year. It would be nice to see a large group from our club there, this year. We don’t usually get the convention this close, so see if you can take advantage of the location. I made my hotel reservations last month and now I waiting to sign-up for the convention. I have been busy signing up for car shows since the first of the year. So far I have registered for Rhinebeck and Saratoga Museum in May, Hildene in June, Syracuse Nationals and waiting for the CORSA Convention in July, and the Adirondack Nationals in September. Also this year Clark’s Corvair show will be September 16th. While you are wintering and keeping warm, this is a good time to be thinking about the spring and summer, and what you may need to do to that Corvair. Has it been running OK? Does it stop good? How about the suspension? Is the ride smooth? This is a good time to start getting all your parts together for some springtime fix-up. Well that’s it from here. Remember to “KEEP THE SHINY SIDE UP”, and I will see you at Fresno’s.
