A Word From The President |

This is it. June, July and August have all gone by, and the end of the car show season is quickly coming. This is a hard time of year for me. I like the fall weather but hate the idea of putting my cars away for the winter. Well, before I get too depressed, I have to look back at the summer. Was it just me, or did we get a lot of rain this year? I had a busy summer, starting off, in May, with the car shows at Rhinebeck and Saratoga, then off to Norwich. Followed by Hildene, then the CORSA Convention in Lexington, and the Capital District Chevrolet Club’s show in June. Then in July I went to Hillcrest, in Pittsfield, and the Syracuse Nationals. And lastly in August we went to the VolksVair show in Shrewsbury MA (and had a great time). When you add that to the number of cruise-ins we got to this summer, we got out a lot and shouldn’t feel bad about summer ending, but I do. We still have September and October left before the cars have to be put away. September is a busy time for me. First we have the Electric City GTO’s show on Labor-day weekend. The next week is Lake George, and then comes Bennington the next weekend. (Don’t forget Clarks on September 18th.) Speaking of Bennington, don’t forget our meeting on Sunday the 18th and the meeting and trip to Mills Mansion in October. That’s it from here, until next time, KEEP THE SUNNY SIDE UP. Harold As I finished writing this I found out that Ray Zabinski’s mother had passed away. Ray I want you to know that you, and your family, are in the harts and thoughts of all the members of the Capital District Corvair Club. Harold
