A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - SEPTEMBER 2008

Dear Members:

The picnic meeting at Moreau Lake State Park was fantastic. The weather was picture perfect, food great and membership participation, wonderful. Members present were, Carol & Peter Callesano, Walt & Jean Newell, Harold & Cindy Basset, Steve & Sherri Ruggles, Dick & Kriss Tullock, Jerry & Diane Thomas, Hilda Groesbeck, Neal Rose, Former members, Bob& Arlene Dalrymple & Woody & Marilyn Scwartz. Welcome to new members; Skip & Lori Rich. I would like to thank every one for their participation, their sharing of food, laughter and wisdom. As always we sure know how to have a good time and enjoy ourselves.

September is chock full of events. Clark's Corvair Show, Lake George, Hot Rod Show, Bennington, VT and Mill's Mansion. We will have a meeting at the most attended show, members choice but usually Mill's Mansion is it.

October will be our Fall Foliage tour, hosted again by Walt and Jean Newell. I think we would all agree that last year's tour to Fort Ticonderoga was memorable. The tour date will follow.

November, I am planning on having our Thanksgiving meeting on Sunday, the 16th at "Koto" an authentic Japanese Steak House in Latham. We will enjoy a performance of a Tapanaki Chef while he cooks our choice of food before our eyes. I will get us a discount based on the number of attendees.

December, Kris and Dick Tullock have again graciously volunteered to host our Holiday party. It will be at the Rexford Volunteer Fire Department. The date is to be determined. As is the tradition at this event we elect our officers for the next year. I am resigning the office of club president at the end of this year. After giving it my best for the past two years I hope someone will take the reins for 2009.

Well that's all folks,
Peter
