The day started out sunny but cool and ended up a little wet.  However that did not stop about 18 people in nine Corvairs, a Barracuda, and a mini-van from enjoying a nice drive.  There was a little color to see along the drive from Holland through Saugatuck, Douglas on over to Fennville.  The first stop was at the Fenn Valley winery for some wine tasting.  We did not get there in time for a tour of the vineyard however.  From there people stopped at various farmer’s stands to find a unique gourd.  Most everyone who started ended up at Sam’s Joint in Plainwell for dinner and for the judging of the most unique gourd.  Steve Ridderman was the winner with a gourd that resembled one of the ghosts from the Pac-man video game.

Not sure what is happening here.  Perhaps a few too many samples of wine?

Off for a quick side trip.
