The 5th
Annual WMCC Car Display and Swap Meet was held on
Saturday, May 19 at the Don Cleveland Antique Auto Museum just outside
of Bangor, Michigan. The weather in the week leading
up to the show was wet and cool but things cleared up
and we had a nice sunny day on the 19th.
While the overall attendance was good, we only had 16
Corvairs (down from 30 last year) and only three or
four people selling parts. There were a number of
other Corvair and non-Corvair events in the midwest
that weekend that may have had an impact. Everyone in
attendance seemed to have a good time, especially
when Bill Wright fired up the grill. After everyone
was finished eating, the peoples choice voting
commenced. Each of the winners received a Corvair Underground gift
certificate. Winners of the drawing for Corvair
Underground gift certificates were Reggie Stroebe and
Bob Packard. Dave Teppo won $30.50 in the 50/50
raffle. Special thanks go out to Lon Wall of Corvair
Underground for donating the extra gift certificates
for the drawing and to our host Don Cleveland.
