The second annual Spring Dust-off was held on May
8, 2004. Unfortunately, Mother Nature was not in a good mood
that day and we experienced quite a bit of rain. Four Corvairs
made the trip from Krispy Kreme to Lansing. Once we got to
Lansing the rain stopped and held off the rest of the day. We
met up with the Detroit Area Corvair Club at the barns of WMCC
member James Neal. There was probably a total of 10 - 12
Corvairs including an Ultravan. After sharing a potluck lunch
and looking at the many cars in the barns, we caravanned downtown to
the R.E. Olds Musuem. On display at the museum were a number
of vintage Oldsmobiles and the very last Oldsmobile ever made, a
2004 Intrique. Even though the weather wasn't what we had
hoped for, all those in attendance had a good time.
