2006 Mall Show Pictures from the 2006 Mall Show held at Metro North Mall in Kansas City. 2007 Convention From the Cozad's trip ![]() 2007 Corsa Convention Autocross This was my first autocross, ever. Had a great time, and ended up 4th (of 16) in my class. Scott's Garage Here are my Corvairs of past and present. I currently have three, the Sedan (daily driver), Convertible, and Greenbrier van. The early model coupe and late model coupe have gone to new homes and as far as I know they are still on the road as well. ![]() Art of the Concours Jack and Donna Hill along with Mike and Sandy Dawson represented HACOA in the 2nd annual "Art of the Concours" at the Kansas City Art Institute. The Corvairs were on display along with other lesser known cars such as Rolls Royce, Cord, Packard, Hupmobile, Daniels, and Mercedes. Some 150 classic cars were on display. ![]() Trip to Arrow Rock Mo and the Lyceum Theatre On July 19, 2008, 15 members of the club traveled to Arrow Rock MO to watch the production of Big:the Musical at the Lyceum Theatre. Before the play the group took their lunch at Huston's Tavern, the oldest continuous operating restaurant west of the Mississippi. ![]() August 2, 2008 Trip to Riverwood Winery HACOA members displayed their cars as part of the "Weston Mo. Ten Mile Trail" event. The event Featuring over 10 miles of exceptionally high quality antique, collectible and garden vendors at four premier locations in and around Weston. ![]() Sloan's Social 2008 On August 10, 2008 the club was invited to the Sloans' home for a picnic and social. It was a good turn out with 7 Corvairs and 18 folks. We were treated to a wonderful meal and a beautiful day. ![]() Westport Flea Market 2008 The Westport Flea Market was the place to on July 26, 2008. We were invited to display the cars in Westport and enjoy the wonderful bugers offered by the establishment. ![]() 2008 Convention The 2008 Corsa Convention was held in Ventura California. There were many events, vendors, cars, and folks from all over the United States and Canada. ![]() 2008 Great Plains Round Up The Great Plains Round Up was held in Oklahoma City and hosted by the Indian Nation Corvair Association. It was a memorable time, made even more memorable by hurricane Ike. ![]() Overland Park Parade We were asked to supply a few Corvair convertibles for this year's Overland Park Fall Festival Parade ![]() Dawson's Garage Dedication After a summer of struggle the Mike and Sandy held a event to christen their new garage. They invited the gang to bring a dish, a beverage, a chair and a sense of humor to share in the fun and games. Kevin Koch's 63 Rampside. Dawson Tech Session, May 2009 19 club members gathered at the home of Mike and Sandy Dawson on Saturday, May 23, for a tech session and picnic. Fun was had by all!! ![]() July 5-6 Albany Mo event The club had a overnight excursion to Albany Mo. Besides participating in the Albany Frontier Holidays Parade the club enjoyed a Barbeque supper at the home of Helen and Harold Davis. ![]() 45th Anniversary The club celebrated its 45th Anniversary on July 27, 2009 with a Social at the Home of Helen and Gary Moore. Thunder in the Valley On July 25 Scott Allison hosted a social and a trip the local raceway Thunder in the Valley. ![]() Spyder around KC It was a nice day and since I was going downtown for the play, Are We There Yet, I decided to show the 1964 Spyder around KC. ![]() September Working Tech Session Mike and Sandy Dawson hosted another Working Tech Session. Several members took advantage of the chance to use Mikes knowledge, his tools and his readily available parts to fix their ailing Corvairs. ![]() Overland Park Parade HACOA Members volunteered their convertibles to transport dignitaries in the Overland Park Fall Festival Parade. ![]() Belton Cruise Night After the Overland Park Parade several members attended the Cruise in Belton, MO ![]() Longview Community College Career Day HACOA participated in Automotive Career Day at Longview Community College in Lees Summit, MO. 500 students from local high schools attended the event. ![]() 2009 Great Plains Round Up Mid-Continent Corvair Association of Wichita hosted the Round Up. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the introducition of the Corvair with a unveiling ceremony. |
