The 2003 CORSA International Convention in

Carlisle, PA

The CORSA International Convention rotates back and forth across the country.  In 2003 it was held in Carlisle, PA at the Clarion Convention Center.  This was an outstanding venue as it had plenty of parking, grassy areas for the car shows and a large lot next door for the autocross.  Dennis & Debbie we the official photographers for the banquet, so we took hundreds of photos.  This is just a small sampling, showing some of the winners of the events and pictures which show what went on.

The 2004 Convention will be in Lexington, KY, 2005 in Portland, OR and 2006 in Buffalo, NY.  Nothing is planned in the Rocky Mountains for the foreseeable future.

Richard Thompson’s William L. Mitchell award winning 64 Spyder.  The Mitchell award is presented to the highest scoring car in the Concours

Warren LeVeque’s Don Yenko award winning early.

The Yenko award is given for the fastest time of day in the autocross.

Rusty Rose with the car he won the Edward M. Cole award in.  The Cole award is presented annually to the Corvair person who has the highest point total in the Concours, Rally, Econorun, and yes they even get points for attending the banquet.  This is the highest award given at the CORSA convention.

This picture was take at Concours classification.  Rusty had his racing tires on.  His wheels and tires he uses for the Concours were most likely sitting in the bathtub in his hotel room waiting for him to take his tooth brush to them. (;-)
