Particulars (Part 2)

Banquet: The banquet will be Saturday evening with a no-host bar at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m.  Dinner is a choice of either Prime Rib or Grilled Salmon. Both dinners come with potatoes and vegetables, as well as rolls, salad, dessert and coffee.  Cost of either dinner is $24, which includes tax and tip. (Please let us know if your have special dietary needs.)

Friday Afternoon Tour: We have arranged with the good folks at the Hyundai Semiconductor Plant to tour their Eugene facility from 2:30--4:30 p.m. It's one of the largest facilities of its kind in the United States. We'll caravan to the site at 2:10 p.m.

Friday Night Caravan/Dinner: On Friday night we'll cruise (about 10 minutes) to Buddy's Diner in Eugene. We'll head out about 6:00 p.m. Buddy's caters to the hot rod set and has the usual diner fare--burgers, fries, shakes, etc. If that doesn't appeal to you there are a multitude of fast food and family restaurants in the immediate area.

Saturday Morning Bus Trip: A bus will take any interested wives (or husbands!) to Eugene's Saturday Market (arts and crafts with a 60's feel).  Bus leaves at 10:00 a.m., returns at noon.

Tee-Shirts: We are offering event tee-shirts featuring the Econorun XXVII logo on the front and assorted Corvair clipart on the rear.  These will be quality shirts, light with dark print, but the printing will be a single color only (navy)!

Raffle and Door Prizes: Tickets for a 50/50 cash raffle (50% to host club, 50% to winner) will be on sale in the Hospitality Room.  If you have anything that you'd like to donate as a door prize, please note it on your Registration Form and bring it with you--we appreciate it!

Self Guided Trips: We'll have maps in the Hospitality Room for places that you may wish to visit on your own including: the University of Oregon (go Ducks!), the Valley River Center (largest area mall), Hendricks Park (featuring beautiful rhododendron gardens), the City of Coburg (with numerous small antique stores), Lane County Historical Museum, and the Mount Pisgah Arboretum (great hiking trails).

Weather: Be prepared for any type of weather--especially liquid sun. All events will proceed regardless of weather.
