Photos of Corvairs on the track were provided by John Heckel and Action Photo Company of Beaverun Raceway.   Photos of Corvair people, (including Donna Mae Mims, Chuck Sadek, Warren Dernochek, Gary Funkhousen and John Egerton),  were provided by Tom Zimmerman.  Likewise, Tom also provided the photos of Corvairs in the pits and on the grid.  And finally, the nice photo of Corvair #18 was provided by its driver, Joe Dunlap.

 

The Northeast Corvair Council ("NECC") conducts high-speed track events for sports car enthusiasts.  Our history goes back to 1974, when we conducted time trials for Corvairs at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.  But you don't need a Corvair to drive in our events.  Several years ago, we opened up our track events to all other makes of cars.  Our starting grid often includes Mazdas, Nissans, Porsches, Mustangs, Evos, Mini Coopers and more.
