to Conduct the July 2012 CORSA Convention!
In 2012, we will host the Corvair
Society of America's annual convention in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
The dates are July 25 2012 thru July 28 2012.
NECC Motorsport's parent organization, the Northeast Corvair Council,
has been awarded the 2012 international convention for the Corvair
Society of America (CORSA), to take place in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
The decision was made during the recent 2010 CORSA convention in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, where NECC President, Brian O'Neill made a formal
presentation to CORSA's board.
This will be the first New England convention in CORSA's 40-year
history, and plans are already well underway to make it different and
distinctive. There are some vibrant Corvair clubs in New England, and
they are part of the NECC with us, so there is a great pool of talent
from which to draw.
Many of you are aware than this has been in the works, starting with a
meeting with the New England clubs back in December, and continuing
through ongoing e-mail correspondence. Past and present CORSA officers,
from throughout the region and nation, have been part of the effort.
If you are a Corvair enthusiast, then plan on being in colonial
Sturbridge, Massachusetts, in July of 2012!
