Welcome to the Corvair-V8 web site, dedicated to Corvairs with alternative power sources, often referred to as "Water Pumpers".

This includes the popular V-8, V-6, and others located in the rear, middle, or front of the body. It is for early or late model, coupe, convertible, truck or van body styles.

It is here we will display and share photos and data of the unique and innovative ways our favorite little compact car has been modified to the personal tastes of its owners.

This site is sponsored by the V-8 Registry, Chapter 006 of the Corvair Society of America. Russ Brandenburg started the V-8 Registry in 1993 because he needed input, sympathy and more knowledge about conversions and what he could do for his car. Today, there are more than 100 members, including eight members in Canada, and one in Austria, England & Norway. The newsletter provides articles on conversions, pictures and updates of member's cars.
