1965 Monza Front
Engine Frame Under Conversion
Doug's 65 Monza has a
full custom frame
that he and a friend, Dale Hamernik designed.
Up front, he has installed a rebuilt Chevy big
block
454 engine
from a 1973 Caprice station wagon. In the rear he used the common 9 inch
Ford with a 3:55 gears and a posi unit. The transmission is from a 1966
Caprice turbo 400 convertible. Doug used Mustang II deluxe
suspension with Wilwood disc brakes up front and mopar drum brakes on
the rear.
Doug's car is a work in progress with a paint
