1965 Monza SuperVair
Update! Things have progressed on the Supervair, it has been running. The cooling system is now complete as can be seen
here.
The custom 17 gallon JAZ fuel cell and
racing style filler neck look at home in the trunk area positioned
between the inner fender louvers.
The engine is a Brodex 506 big block Chevy with
Brodex heads and intake manifold topped off with a 1000 CFM Thermo Quad
carb. Inside, the valve train has a stud girdle and roller rockers with a custom Isky cam.
This cam makes torque from 2600 to 6300 RPM and runs out of horsepower at 6500 but, the valve train is good to 7300! This combination should be good for 650 plus horsepower on pump gas normally aspirated. All this should bring E.T.'s of between 9.5 and 9.75 at 130 to 135 MPH in the quarter mile. The front of the engine shows the use of a flat
aluminum plate

In what was formally the engine compartment we see
The automatic transmission is a Power Glide with a 2600 RPM stall converter rated for 1000 HP! The quick change differential
Wide rear wheel as in 10" with a 7" offset!
Kit parts.
