CANCELLED Corvair -- The Next Generation

The May 2020 Corsa Mini  Convention has now been canceled due to Corvid-19.   All hotel rooms that were part of the room block at the Crown Plaza host hotel. Have been cancelled by the hotel.   We have rescheduled this event to May 19,20,21,and 22. 2021‎ with the same Hotel format and schedule as 2020 and without any virus concerns we all hope.  We are sorry we have to change our plans but it is out of our control. Thanks all for registering this year and we hope you can join us next year.   

Prairie Capital Corvair Association, PCCA, is upping its game. The Corvair next generation for 2020 will be a CORSA-sanctioned Mini Convention, June 17-20, 2020. The event is being held again, to support the CPF and the CPF Museum. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the CPF for the continued operation of the Corvair Museum. The museum has moved to a new location just south of Springfield Illinois near Glenarm. Being a sanctioned mini means that CORSA judges will be used for the Concours on Thursday. A road rally on Friday, car display and Funkhana on Saturday, a Cruise-in Wednesday night, drive-in movie Thursday, night at museum Friday and self-guided tours to Lincoln sites and Historic Route 66 sites being scheduled for each evening should provide something to do for everyone. The host hotel is the car hobby friendly Crowne Plaza in Springfield IL. Three days, four nights, so much to do, so little time you may want to come early and stay late.

One of our exciting highlighted features this year will be special guest speaker, Mr. William Wynne of FlyCorvair.net who is well-known for converting Corvair engines into airplane engines. After all, Corvair engines are aircraft inspired. As a special treat, a Corvair powered airplane will be on display and William may have a surprise to go with it. Invite your aviation friends who may find this very interesting. If you want to learn more about what William does, go to You Tube and search "WW Fly Corvair". 

Another feature will be a Corvair-themed Art Show at the hotel for folks who want to bring their original paintings, sketches, renderings, photographs, or three-dimensional artwork pieces made from Corvair parts for others to enjoy. Please bring your own easel or stand for display.

    This is an excellent opportunity for you and your car if your prepping for a National Concours or a means to help maintain your current Seniors status—or just to see how your Corvair stacks up in a CORSA judged event. The museum will be open and ready for your visit.

The Crowne Plaza is now accepting room reservations at a rate of $105 per night (no meals included). This hotel is pet friendly so bring your fur family members with you.
