September 8-10 Corvair Museum Weekend Springfield, IL. The Corvair Museum in conjunction with the Prairie Capital Corvair Club will host its annual event on this weekend with a day for the museum, a Route 66 Road tour and participation in the largest Car Show in Illinois, the 72nd Annual Secretary of State Auto Show held on September 10, 2022 in Downtown Springfield. Corvair is the feature car for this show.
Eligibility:
All Corvair owners are eligible to participate in this event. You do NOT need to be a member of either CORSA or the Corvair Preservation Foundation.
Schedule of Activities:
Thursday: Welcome dinner at the Museum. Open house 2:00 PM.
Thursday: Dinner at 5:00 PM.
Friday: Route 66 Road Tour begins 9 AM.
Friday: SOS Show Welcome Party begins 5:30 PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Saturday: Secretary of State Auto Show, Springfield Illinois. Arrive 7-10 AM, Prep time 10-noon. Judging starts at noon. Awards at 3:30 PM. Corvair is one of the featured cars.
