2016 Overnight Trip and Color Tour
Our annual overnight trip and color tour were combined into one event this year. The Saturday portion of the trip was a leisurely drive down to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend. The next day we toured the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame in Elkhart.
September 2016 Meeting
Our September meeting was held at Coney Island Drive In in Kentwood.
August 2016 Events
Our August meeting was held at Cook's Drive In in Dutton. The following week we had a tech session at the Countermans where new O rings were installed on Ethel.
July 2016 Meeting
Our July meeting was our annual summer picnic which was hosted by Bob Muir at his cottage on Lake Michigan.
June 2016 Meeting
Our June meeting was held at Culver's in Grand Haven.
2016 All Air Cooled Car Show
The 6th Annual All Air Cooled Car Show was held at Gilmore Car Museum on June 18. There were 19 Corvairs in attendance with nine of them being from WMCC.
2016 Spring Dust Off
Our annual Spring Dust Off was held on Saturday, May 21. We took a scenic drive to Lansing where we visited the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum. After touring the museum we at dinner at Clara's Lansing Station and then a few of us went on to Lansing Brewing Company.
April 2016 Meeting
Our April meeting was held at High Mark Lanes which is connected to Jake's Goodtime Bar and Grill. The bar and bowling alley were sold and we were the last customers.
2016 Zoup Off
On February 13, we held our annual Zoup Off at Rockford Ambulance. This was the second year in a row for the Zoup Off after six years of the Chili Cook Off (the first year for this event was 2009). We had 12 soups and 10 desserts to judge. First place in the soup category went to Becky Lectka with her Winter White Bean Tuscan Soup and second place went to Anne Wildfong with her Taco Soup. First place in the dessert category went to was Dave Dykwell with his Old Fashion Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce and second place went to Marilee Stroebe with her Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake. After everyone got their fill, Doug Lectka hosted a spin on the Newlywed Game except with couples who have been together for awhile.
 The West Michigan Corvair Club is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan but we cover the western side of Michigan.  We are chapter #495 of the Corvair Society of America.
